Pixie Power Minute: Adding a QR Code to a Layout

Adding a QR (Quick Response) Code to a layout brings your words and photos to life. Lets look at how to generate a QR code and add it to your page.

Objective: This video will show you how to add a QR code to a layout.


Video Notes:

  1. Log into your FOREVER account. Browse to the album the video is located.

    1. Click in the center of the video image.

      1. Click on the Share button.

        1. Click on QR Code.

          1. Click on “Download QR Code Image.”
          2. The QR Code will download to your downloads folder on your computer.
        2. Open your Artisan project. Go to the page that you want to add a QR code to.

          1. Go to the Photos operation panel.

            1. Click on Get photos.
            2. Click on “From My Computer.”
            3. Windows folder opens. Go to “Downloads.”
            4. Click on the QR Code image.
            5. Click Open.
          2. Add the QR code to the layout.

            1. Drag and drop the QR code on the layout.
          3. Resize the QR code as desired. However, DO NOT make the QR code smaller than 1.5”.

            1. Change the size from the Quick Access Toolbar.
            2. Change the size from Properties. Right-click the QR image> Properties.
            3. Or drag a handle on the QR image to make it smaller.
          4. Complete your page.

            1. Add title and journaling.
            2. Add papers and embellishments.
            1. Watch the video on your layout. To view the video, open your camera on your smartphone. Hold the camera over the QR image and tap on FOREVER. The video will either begin playing or you will need to download and then play the video.
